 The prices of gas bottles have risen alot over the last years, but never has it seen such an increase in price as during the last two years. Where in April 2004 the price for a 12,5 kg bottle was € 8.34, in April 2006 gone up to € 12.35. Although the Commision of Energy sets the maximum selling price for companies like Repsol and Cepsa, the rise of global oil prices forces this to rise accordingly.
Spain is the highest consumer of gas bottles in Europe, although the national consumption dropped from 2 million tonnes per year to 1.5 million tonnes per year.
